Before this role, he was the Vice Minister, Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises, Republic of Indonesia. His corporate career spanned the top level, primarily serving as Group CEO of PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Persero). Before this, he was trusted as the President Director of Bank Mandiri. A graduate of Nuclear Physics from the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), he brings extensive experience in business, finance, and strategic management. As Minister of Health, he leads the transformation of Indonesia\u2019s healthcare system, focusing on strengthening primary care, advancing health data digitalization, and promoting self-sufficiency in pharmaceuticals and medical devices. He has been deeply involved in public health initiatives, particularly in COVID-19 pandemic response management, health system reform, and the development of preventive and community-based healthcare programs. Since 2014, he has been a Member of the Presidential Medical Expert Panel, contributing his expertise in advancing national health priorities with a science-driven and human-centered approach.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He previously served as Head of the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism, and Diabetes at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Indonesia \u2013 Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (FKUI\u2013RSCM) from 2017 to 2020.
